Highlight Specialty Rooms to Sell Your Home

Rooms that sell

Most of us are aware that kitchens, master bedrooms and bathrooms are key factors in selling a home. However, especially in recent months, specialty rooms have become increasingly important as well. When you're putting your home on the market, you want to be sure to highlight specialty rooms to sell your home.

If you have a room in your home that isn't really being used, you may want to consider staging it as a specialty room. You will want to make sure these spaces are highlighted in listing pictures and descriptions. Below are some of the key specialty spaces that could help sell your home.

Home office

Never before has the home office been so important! With many people now working some from home, a home office space has become a must for many. If your home office is currently serving a dual purpose, such as playroom and office, consider removing the toys for a more focused purpose for the space.

Home school space

Remote learning has become a thing, and with many unknowns surrounding schooling for the coming year many families are looking for a homeschool space. Help potential buyers imagine how the space could be effectively used for schooling.

Arts and Craft Studio

With all the current stressors of life, a space in which to create and do art is appealing to many. If you have a smaller room with great light, consider adding an easel and other furnishings that show how it can be used as a creative space.

Exercise Room

With many gyms closed or operating at limited capacity, an exercise space is a huge draw to many people. Don't have a treadmill or stationary bike? You can stage with a yoga mat and an exercise ball.

Media Room

If you have a room in your house that doesn't get much light, consider staging it as a media room! Families love to have a designated space to curl up for a move on Friday night, especially when the movie theaters are closed.
